God did some awesome work this weekend in Weston, MO. We just returned from the 1st ever Ignite Winter Youth Retreat.
I don’t even know where to start, because everything was just so great.
The worship was most definitely my favorite. Jenna and Jeff from Joplin did an excellent job. They did several songs that were new to us from Calvary Chapel Lake of the Ozarks. Hopefully we will be doing some of them in the near future.
The teaching was phenomenal as well. Pastor Cliff taught on the book of Joshua, chapters 3, 4, 5, and 6. Those chapters serve as a great message of strengthening our faith. It was a great reminder to get our eyes off of ourselves and let go of our trinkets, whatever they may be.
Finally, most people’s favorite, the day of skiing and snowboarding. For my first time on skiis it was quite an experience. There were quite a few falls for me, but since everybody else was falling as well it took the embarrassment out of it. Thankfully our group escaped without any serious injuries.
It was a great time of teaching, worship, and skiing. For those of you that couldn’t join us, know that you were missed. Hopefully next year we can return to Arkansas for Kindle, but if we are unable to, Ignite is a well deserving substitute. God bless you all and hope to see everyone on Sunday.
